What do I love about the Christmas?
It really is the most wonderful time of the year - frozen pink cheeks, bundling up in warm winter clothes, knitting scarves, warm fires. The most uplifting, friendly, cheerful music you'll hear all year long.
People are happier, friendlier. They laugh more freely, sing carols just because, are more willing to lend a hand because that's 'just what you do,' during the holidays, at least.
There are fairy lights everywhere, and we're all excited to be with one another. You talk to family for the first time since last year, and it's like nothing's changed since the best times in your childhood.
Everyone's decorated, there are garlands and trees and strings of lights and candles in every window, and it makes you feel like you're a part of something bigger, sharing this with other people.
We set aside our differences during the holidays, and give freely, laugh without reservation and just - feel glad. It's amazing, and I love seeing it happen each and every year.
